Do you fancy going to a bookshop? Not just any old bookshop though; this is a bookshop that holds a special place in a certain person's heart.
Here we are at the outside. Beautiful. Gorgeous.
Lovely sunny spring day, but still worth leaving the sun outside to make a little visit. This is the scene that greets you when you go through the door.
Isn't it just gorgeous? Don't you just love those books with legs that are running around the shop? (Top of the picture). Shall we go around this corner........
..... past the mugs and bookmarks? To these shelves .........
.......and then we can go further into the store, to this ...........
...... the children's corner, where, I've no doubt, they have a good selection of 'the shoe books' and of course, 'Anne of Green Gables' . We can go upstairs as well, to this gorgeouse (I've already used that word, but I don't care) curved wall full of books.........
Now, apparently, they have a Facebook page, so you can browse on there, or you can visit their website here if you so desire. Just to finish off, here are just some of the treasures I've picked up here. The book on the bottom was bought for me by my beloved sister. Some of you may know her as Azza.........
PS - I'm missing 'Persuasion' in hardback. I've got all the others. Just in case you're interested......
Bloody brilliant!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been waiting for these photos, they're gorgeous!
And I NEED that Martin Chuzzlewhit, even though I've got them all on my Kindle, it's just gorgeous (I know I've used that word here before but I don't care either!)
I of course DO have a copy of Persuasion, which I believe I bought at this very same shop (Yah Boo Sucks!)
I hope you realise just how lucky you are to have a shop like this just "around the corner". We haven't got one second hand bookshop anywhere near here. I really miss that.
The photos are really lovely, I really want to come down and have a good browse. I've had a little look at the Facebook page but I'm going to explore it further.
Lucky you.....I HATE YOU!!!
