Our end of term 'do' this year was a Vintage Tea Party. Very civilised.
All we had to do was provide the venue, and everything else was taken care of. Plenty of tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes, etc., brought to us, so we could all sit around and enjoy the food and the conversation.
There was even bunting in the garden.
The music was provided courtesy of one of our party who brought a wind up gramophone, and lots of 78 records!
A fabulous time was had by all. It was a quintessential English summer's day, complete with typical English weather ......
So we sat under our umbrellas and enjoyed our cuppas. Mad as Hatters at a tea party, I hear you say.....

How "refained" you all are down there!
ReplyDeleteBut everything looks so right, the crockery, tablecloths, cakestands, Lovely!
But, why wasn't I invited, aren't I posh enough?
It looks lovely and I love the wind up gramaphone, hope you remembered to stick your little finger out while drinking your tea.
