Romanescu

I try to grow vegetables, with mixed success.  Last year was really good, but this year I don't seem to have done very well.

Regardless of whether or not I have my own vegetables, every week I receive an organic vegetable box.  It's very exciting - like Christmas - you never know what you're going to get, because it's all seasonal and what is currently available.  This week, I celebrated the return of this, one of my favourites:

Romanescu.  It has to be one of the most amazing looking vegetables.  It looks fantastic, and it tastes yummy too.  Mmmm.  I'm not convinced I could grow anything like that.

Just in case you're interested, there was also beetroot, courgettte, carrots, onions, potatoes, tomatoes and salad.
