Oo-er, but never fear, I can be quite intrepid when I want to be. As long as I'm warm, I'll sleep anywhere, well, not anywhere, but certainly in a tent...
And certainly in beautiful surroundings such as this. Time for Breakfast...
Then a spot of housework:
Stop to admire the work of the extremely clever sheep dog:
I've never seen this before, apart from on TV., and I was fascinated at how skilful this little dog was. She had those sheep exactly where she wanted them.
Then - on to the next walk. This time Whernside, the highest peak in Yorkshire, at 736 metres (2,415 feet) high.
The walk starts at the famous Ribblehead Viaduct:
And climbs steadily upwards for ever and ever - well, not really, but it felt like it. It's very different to Pen-y-Ghent, not quite so cute, but it still has some stunning features. Like this aquaduct going over the valley:
And this waterfall:
And this tarn:
Once again, the people are very kind in Yorkshire, and made paths for us:
It was a mighty hard climb, but after two hours, we arrived at the top:
Our little car is down there somewhere; you can just spot it near the ice cream van...
Here's the proof that I was there:
Apparently, on a clear day, you can see Blackpool Tower from here (?). Or so I heard....
We had our lunch, and marveled at the fact that we were HIGHER THAN THE BIRDS, and then started our descent.
It was just as tricky going down as it was going up, I can tell you, but we finally made it back to the bottom, to meet the Ribblehead Viaduct from the other side.
Walk through the arches of the viaduct, and you're done!
I'd done it! No knee trouble, no feet trouble, no joint trouble. I reckon it's all the swimming training that has helped. I feel I can do almost anything, as long I've got three weeks to do it........
Unfortunately, the ice cream van had gone :(
Stay tuned to find out what happened on day three.....
Why didn't you wave?

I am very impressed with your climbing and swimming skills. Are you thinking perhaps of Everest as one of your challanges.
