New York 2

We decided we were going to stroll around the Upper East Side, as none of us had ever done that.  I nominated myself 'in charge' of the expedition, and realised that we had to have LOTS of coffee stops on this tour, so that 82 year old (and the rest of us) could rest our weary legs.
First task: Google 'coffee shops on Upper East Side'.
Red dots show where the coffee shops are.

Next task: Discount all the Starbucks, or other 'chains'.
We were left with a few to choose from, and I planned a sort of route around them. The tour went very well, and the coffee shops were wonderful.  One in particular springs to mind:
East 72nd Street, at 2nd Avenue.
Daisy's café was chosen because our grandmother was called Daisy.  You can't not go into a charming café such as this, when you have a reason to, can you?
Tiny little family run café.
So we did.  We had a cup of tea (we're English), and a decorated cookie or two.
Girl, with melon.
We asked the owner why the place was called Daisy's, and she told us that it was named after her grandmother, who was called, amazingly enough, Daisy.  Kismet.
