Sssh - this is a secret, please don't tell anyone.

Now, you have to understand that this is hyperthetical, right?

What would you do if you were constantly disturbed by dogs barking and fighting next door to you?  Well, this has happened to a friend of mine (?*!).  She was barked at every time she went out of her back door, as the dogs had access to a doggy flap, and came running out every time they heard the slightest noise.  There were two of them, who were left on their own all day long, and actually seemed very stressed (wouldn't you be, if you were a dog, and one year was really seven years, and one day was really - well, I can't work it out, but I think it's a lot?)  Anyway, back to my story my friend's story.  She decided to have a word with the dog owners, but really got nowhere, as excuses were given, but she did get a present (?)...

... to keep her eggs in.  Cute eh?

Not to be beaten, my friend decided to use some Transactional Analysis (she's been doing a course), and mentioned the problem again.  Bingo!   Adult to adult conversation ensued, and the neighbours began to acknowledge that there was a problem.  She (my friend) is not entirely hopeful that the dogs will completely cease barking, but has been told that someone will come and see them at lunchtimes.  That may help.  Now, she (my friend) is not a dog owner, much preferring cats, but can't help but feel sorry for two dogs who are not being mistreated, but who are not being well treated.  Difficult, though, when the b*****s are so scary and noisy and unloveable.  Please don't tell anyone my friend told me this.
