That's the question I just know you'll all be asking. What happened on the Expected Delivery Date? Well, the short answer is, nothing.
But I didn't panic, you'll be pleased to hear. I know you can't rush these things, so I calmly waited until the next day - then, nothing again. This was not going to be a straightforward process, I feared.
But I still didn't panic, because I know that would not help in the slightest. So I decided to help things along a little, and did some research on how to give birth digitally as smooth as possible.
It turns out, that my digital tv is - wait for it - TOO OLD to be a mother!
Now, I find that hard to believe. How can a digital TV be too old? This TV is too old:
But pretty, although being pretty never gets you anywhere (not that I would really know that).
So, what to do? I was DESPERATE to see Nigel Kennedy on BBC4. This was going to be my treat after a hard week's work and a protracted digital labour.
I resorted to Plan B - and nicked my son's TV from his bedroom. Voilà! The Digital Age has arrived in the wilds of Oxfordshire!
Do I have Post Digital Depression? NO! Nigel Kennedy was fantastic - another brilliant Prom., and well worth the wait and the Licence Fee for that alone....... I am a TEENSY bit depressed that it's the Last Night tonight, but as long as BBC 4 reward me with lots of nice European cinema, I'll get over it.

WOW you have entered the digital world and by the sounds of it the delivery was not as painful as I was expecting. I hope you look after your new baby and give it plenty of love, keep your feet up and raise a glass to the digital age. WELL DONE.
